MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Southeast Wisconsin has already seen some of the ugliest conditions that a winter can offer the area during the wintertime, from ice, blowing snow, subzero temperatures and more, the conditions have been less than ideal for being outdoors and enjoying athletic activities.

Thankfully, there is a wide variety of fun to be had indoors, in comfortable conditions, allowing those who crave athletic activity, or simply those who want to dip their toes into the water of being a little more active, to get their hearts pumping all across the area.

Mike Curkov visited some of these locations and will be showcasing them all week during a special CBS 58 Hometowns feature about indoor sports. From martial arts to rock climbing and shooting a few hoops in-between, Mike will cover some highlights of indoor athletic fun during CBS 58 News on Tuesday, Jan. 30 and Thursday, Feb. 1.

We kicked off the Hometowns special by speaking to Dan Knoll, director of sales at the OAW Indoor Sports Complex in New Berlin. He joined us on Tuesday, Jan. 30 for a preview of what’s to come during the week.
