POTSDAM, New York (WWNY) – It’s the renewal of the greatest rivalry in North Country sports: Clarkson against St. Lawrence on the ice in the first of two nights in a row. The Golden Knights hosted Friday night’s battle at Cheel Arena.
First period: Clarkson’s Ryan Richardson was on the breakaway, but goalie Ben Craws saved.
St. Lawrence shot on goal from the slot and Brady Parker snags the save. The game was scoreless after one period.
On a power play, from behind the net, Felikss Gavers sends the puck out. Phillipe Chapleau scores: 1-0 Saints.

Clarkson’s Damon Gardner crosses the puck and Eric Chiccolini chips it home. The game tied 1-1.
Then it was Chiccolini from the left point as he wires the shot into the net: 2-1 Clarkson.
On a 2-on-1 break, the puck is passed across again to Chiccolini at top shelf for the natural hat trick, all three goals within three minutes.
Another look: Ayrton Martino to Chiccolini. Matthieu Goslin scored an empty-netter. Clarkson beats St. Lawrence 4-1.
In Boys’ Frontier League Basketball, it was Lowville at Watertown.
The pass down low to Isaiah Spence for the basket.
Then it was Jack Adams for Watertown with the rebound and the basket.
Then it was Spence from beyond the arc, all net.
Next, Adams muscles his way to the basket for 2.
Then it was Spence for 2 more, and Seth Charlton with 37 on the night.
Final in double OT: Watertown 76 Lowville 70.
